About me

Tu-Linh Doan is an Amsterdam-based artist with a background in graphic design. Her paintings express an emotional quest for balance, harmony, continuity, and connection in a world where such things often feel unattainable. Through meticulous explorations of colour and composition, hand-made frames, and unexpected imperfections, she decides where to seize control and where to let go. 

Tu-Linh’s most recent work “Phase” shows that, at any moment, we are whole/together, in pieces/broken, or somwhere in between. She was particularly inspired by the women around her. “We transform from one kind of person to another in cycles and throughout our lives.” There is no order to Phase, just a line that shows continuity between and beyond each, changing in perpetuity.
